The house is a semi-detached property under London Borough of Hillingdon Council. The existing property consists of a building with a large rear garden. The design brief was to design a single storey rear extension and to convert the loft into a habitable space. Therefore, the proposed design offers a bigger entrance into the house with the double porch wall that needs to be demolished. The existing roof of the house has been retained with addition of 2 roof lights towards the front and a flat roof dormer towards the rear of the roof.
