As a Design Studio, we created a permanent, stylish version of the pencil body concept. We have upgraded the elegant art tool with a durable, bold design that is comfortable to hold and free your creativity through words and drawings.
The screw connections give a firm grip to the pen as well as adding to its structure. Holding and drawing with the pentagon block is amazingly comfortable and is a desired must.
The alt. pen allows for different ‘alt.ernative’ options- from ball point to fine liners to potentially pencil refills. So say goodbye to plastic disposable pens and take the ‘alt.ernative’ route ?

The alt. pen’s design concept is born from the idea of having a single pen that is able to function as alternative pens. Following the pencil shape, the design has a smooth outer finish and the mechanics are all taking part within the body.
Process is important to us and we love testing and trying out our ideas and watching them grow into their best selves.
Therefore, we did countless 3D printing and virtual modelling as an iterative process to get to our beloved alt. pen.
When manufactured, the whole body of the pen is CNC turned from the raw pentagonal aluminium or titanium material which allows for maximum material efficiency.
